Last Updated 7 years ago

Welcome to OnLine Training Institute! When you first login to our Online Classroom we find it useful for students to be aware of certain helpful features. If you require more assistance please call our office Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00PM EST toll free at 866-357-0841 (Local 561-283-0333) or create a help ticket.

1. Logging in to the Online Classroom...

To log in to the Online Classroom you go to the URL Enter the username and password that you were sent in your Student Welcome Letter or chose during Registration.

2. After logging in...

On the left side of your home screen are various menus (we call them blocks) that allow you to check for new messages, navigate the course, view and update your personal information, and see other courses that are available for purchase. Some of your menus and blocks are configured at the site level, others change depending on which course you are in.

  • The Navigation Block allows you to veiw your public profile and move around both in your course and the online classroom.
  • The Messages Block, or link to Messages (in the top left corner) gives you the ability to text message fellow students and your instructor from within the course. If someone is offline, a copy of the message is sent to the email address on file.
  • Files: You may also see a link to any private files that you need to store for your course work and a list of the Users that are currently logged into the online school. Once inside your course area the users listed are users taking the same course.
  • You can access any courses where you are enrolled through the My Courses menu.
  • The This Course menu contains links to People (the participants in your course) Grades (your grades earned), and all the parts unique types of activities in your course.
  • The Help link brings you back to the Help Desk, and you can click on the Enrollment Center menu to find new courses and enroll.
  • In the top right corner of the screen you will see your name.  This is actually a drop down menu with links to control your profile, view the grades of all of your courses, and control your preferences.

3. Course Completion Requirements...

Your course contains Lessons, Quizzes and Final Exams. In the Insurance Department, Lessons are not graded (the grade if shown is for your information only). Lessons should be repeated as often as possible until you are confident you know the material. All quizzes and exams must be completed with at least a 70% on each in order to complete your course. All of the lessons, quizzes, and exams in your course are computer scored. The scores are recorded and sent to us automatically. You can work at your own pace until you complete the course at which time you will need to fill out the Grade Submittal Form to lock in your grades and trigger your Certificate of Completion to be sent to you. Do not forget to submit your Grades for our final review.

Unit Lessons
If a question in a lesson is Fill in the Blank you may be told to compare your answer to the correct answer. This does not mean that your answer was wrong. There are many different ways that Fill in the Blank question can be answered, ex. caps or no caps. The course tells you to compare your answer to the correct answer so that you will not have an answer marked incorrect when you use caps and the instructor did not.

Unit Quizzes and Exams can be taken as many times as you wish but a score of at least 70% on each quiz and exam is required to unlock the Course Final Exam. We recommend that students go back and review their course material and retake the quizzes until they pass each quiz with at least a 90%. Your highest quiz score for each unit quiz will be used for grading.

The Course Final Exam can only be taken twice. It is highly recommended that you thoroughly understand the material before attempting the Course Final Exam. If you don't pass your first attempt at the final exam you should review your attempt to see what you got wrong and restudy the content. You will be allowed a second attempt after 16 hours. If you fail the second attempt, you will have failed the course and no additional attempts will be permitted. You will need to contact the college that you registered through if you wish to re-enroll in this course. If you experienced technical difficulties during your Final Exam attempt please contact our office Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00PM EST toll free at 866-357-0841 (Local 561-283-0333) or send us an email at
