Q1.  How do I contact my course instructor?

If you are logged into your course you can click on your instructor’s email address from the course main page and it will open up a new email in your email client.  You can also message your instructor from within the online classroom through the Message Block if your instructor isn’t logged in the server will automatically email your message to your instructor.

Q2.  How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password within the virtual classroom (Moodle). After that, you will receive an email confirmation.  If you do not receive the email, you can call OLT to reset it for you at (561) 283 - 0333.

Q3.  What is the Grade Submittal Form?

The Grade Submittal Form (GSF) is the final step required to complete your course.  Students will not receive their Certificate of Completion for Certificate, Designation, or Continuing Education Courses until OLT has received the GSF.  The GSF informs us that you have completed the course and are satisfied with the grades that you have received on your quizzes and exams.  At that time OLT’s compliance staff will send your Final Grade to your college or the state so that you can receive your Certificate of Completion.  Up to that point you can retake your quizzes as many times as you would like to improve your Final Grade.  After we receive your Grade Submittal Form (GSF) you will still be able to retake your quizzes as a study aide.

Q4.  How do I submit my Grade Submittal Form?

Log in to your course and complete the Final Exam.  After you have taken and passed the Final Exam the link to the Grade Submittal Form (GSF) will be available in the course outline.  Make sure that you fill out all of the required information and check the box to acknowledge that you are locking in your grades before you click “Submit”.  For more in depth instructions visit the How-To: Submit My Grades page in our How-To section.

Q5.   What is the Certificate of Completion?

A Certificate of Completion is needed when reporting to the state the completion of your insurance licensing or designation course.  If you took a designation course you are required to submit your Certificate of Completion to your state’s insurance licensing entity, ex. in Florida the Florida Department of Financial Services (FLDFS), after your college or school mails or emails it to you.  If you took a pre-licensing certificate course your college or school will mail or email a copy of your Certificate of Completion to you and will also report your successful completion to your state’s insurance licensing entity.  Our How-To section has complete directions for How-To: Request your Certificate of Completion.

Q6.  How long does it take for my Certificate of Completion to reach me?

The colleges have thirty (30) business days to send you your Certificate of Completion.

Q7.  Why have I not received my Certificate of Completion?

Some colleges email the Certificate of Completion and others mail it.  If it has been thirty (30) days since you submitted your GSF check your Junk/Spam/or Trash folder on your email program to make sure it wasn’t automatically junked. If your Certificate of Completion is not in one of those folders contact the college you registered with to request the status of your Certificate of Completion.

Q8.  What is OLT's course extension policy?

Course Extensions are available upon request before your course expires depending on your college’s policy. Please refer to the Student Welcome Letter you received upon enrollment for your college’s specific instructions regarding course extensions. If you have enrolled directly through a course at Broward Community College, Hillsborough Community College, Indian River State College,  Florida SouthWestern State College or OnLine Training there is a $25.00 fee charged for a course extension and you need to request the course extension before your course expires.

Q9.  How do I get a refund?

The steps to obtain a refund differ from college to college.  OLT’s basic policy, is that students’ have one (1) business day after their registration is processed to submit their request by email to either the college they registered through or OnLine Training's registrar desk (register@oltraining.com).  A $25 administration fee will be charged for all OLT approved refunds. To be sure you are in compliance with the refund policy, refer back to your student welcome letter or the OLT Terms and Conditions page.

Q10.  How do I clear my browser's cache?

In some browsers, up to date content and elements may not open when viewing an updated website that you have previously visited until you clear your browser's cache. This is because your web browser saves a copy of the content and elements on the website from the last viewing to try to save you time by attempting to load from the saved pages you've visited before rather than reloading the downloaded content and elements.  Clearing your cache will allow the up to date materials to be downloaded so that you will view the current website and not old data.

Q11.  How do I enable cookies in my browser?

Our online classroom uses two cookies:  The essential one is the session cookie, called MoodleSession.  You must allow this cookie in your browser to provide continuity and maintain your login from page to page.  When you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed (in your browser and on our server).  The other cookie is for your convenience, called MOODLEID.  It remembers your username within the browser.  This means when you return to this site the username field on the login page will already be  filled out for you.  It is safe to refuse this cookie, but you will need to retype your username every time you log in.  You can find out how to enable cookies on our How-To: Enable Your Cookies page here.

Q12.  Why does my course no longer show when I log in to the online classroom?

The normal reason for courses not showing when you are logged in to the online classroom is that your course has expired.  If your course has expired and you still need access to it or your course should not have expired yet then you will need to contact our main office between 8:00am and 5:00PM EST toll free at 866-357-0841 (Local 561-283-0333) or send us an email at register@oltraining.com.
