This course has been approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services for 60 hours, and is designed and taught to comply with the State requirements for the Health and Life (including Annuities and Variable Contracts) Agents (2-15) Pre-Licensing course. (This license and course used to be called Life, Health and Variable Annuities).

Life Insurance Topics covered include: Types of Life Policies, Life Policy Riders, Provisions, Options and Exclusions, Completing the Life Application, Underwriting, and Delivering the Policy, Taxes, Retirement, and Other Life Insurance Concepts.

Health Insurance Topics covered include: Types of Health Policies, Health Policy Provisions, Clauses and Riders, Social Insurance, Other Health Insurance Concepts, and Field Underwriting Procedures.

Florida Statutes, Rules & Regulations covered include: Florida Statutes, Rules, and Regulations Common to All Lines, Florida Statutes, Rules, and Regulations Pertinent to Life and Annuity Insurance, Including Variable Products, and Florida Statutes, Rules, and Regulations Pertinent to Health Insurance.

Biography Jerry E. Bateman, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF has been active in the insurance and financial services industry since 1976. During this time, he has attained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations, both conferred by the American College, and the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation through the Life Underwriter Training Council. Additionally, he attained a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in 1972.
